The complex's goals are defined through its four deputyships. Each was established with a specific purpose:
- Scientific DeputyshipThe Scientific Deputyship was established for scientific and educational activities, to improve the quantity and quality of the Sadr al-Islam Religious School (for brothers and sisters), and to create coordination and unity of approach with other schools.
- Quranic DeputyshipThe Quranic Deputyship works to teach the Holy Quran, memorize it, revive and advance Quranic culture, provide a suitable foundation for the growth and development of Quranic activities, train specialized personnel and employ them where they are best placed, and establish the culture of Quran memorization at every level of society, through developing Quran memorization schools, Dar al-Qurans, Quran kindergartens, Quran gardens and other Quranic centers.
- Social DeputyshipThe Social Deputyship was established to apply religious teachings, deepen Islamic values in society, and organize and manage the complex's social capacities. Bodies such as the Council of Friday and Congregational Prayer Leaders, the school and university student committees, the representative of the Fatwa Board, the women's council and others fall under this deputyship.
- Administrative and Financial DeputyshipThe Administrative and Financial Deputyship was established to plan for the best possible management of the complex's activities, to optimize and properly use human and financial resources, and to manage, safeguard and maintain the complex's property.
